Eh, I'm emo-ish sometimes

I type my words
On the grey screen
I lose reality

I live my life
In another’s body
I lose reality

I open the book
Printed words fill me up
I lose reality

I create lives for me
Of fancies I keep inside
I lose reality

I lose behind the laughter
I lose behind the whispers
I lose reality

I sink into my mind
As the troubles slip away
And the keys become my voice

I fight different fights
I love different loves
I lose reality

I lose myself

I lose reality
And I couldn’t be happier

O...k...let me explain a bit.

First off, I love rps, and reading, and my characters. Yes that is wrong of me most likely. I guess we all want to live in another life, so by creating characters we get that chance.

I don't create lives I want in my characters anymore, mostly because my life right now is freakin good compared to how it was. Please don't think I'm making fun of anyone, dear lord I am not.

That's why we read, because once in a while we want to lose reality for a while. That's one reason I want to rp sometimes, mostly when I'm upset. It helps me escape my life right then, and I deal with problems later.

Also...I had really no friends when I was younger. So to keep myself company I created characters that were my friends, to play adventures with them. I understand that isn't healthy really at all. But it's the way I am.

You can laugh if you want at me, doesn't really bug me much anymore. Some of you hopefully understand what I'm talking about, and that's wonderful. If you don't then that's fine. If everyone's mind was like mine then the world would be screwed.

Oh...not so good at poetry. ^^; Hopefully my idea was expressed cleanly. Cheers all~

That's beautiful. :'D I perfectly understand what you mean, I've been in the same situation for as long as I can remember. The world is not as how you want it to be, so you create your own imaginative world to escape it all. Through this, one achieves satisfaction, even if it is temporary. Unhealthy? I don't think so. I think of it as a reaction of human nature when faced with loneliness. And even if it is unhealthy, does it really matter? In the world we live in, full of psychos and callousness... it doesn't matter.

Oh dear, I seem to have babbled on. Very beautiful poem, I wholeheartedly agree with it's connotation. :)

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

Truth of the matter, your journal entry is the reason for this. It got me thinking, and this is the result. Yet another reason I should keep my mind under lock. XD

What I like about this poem is, there is no ture meaning. It is what you choose that is the meaning. Hell...I know even know the meaning. XD And I wrote the damn thing. But thanks much...nice to know someone got the jist of it. :)
